**Objects:** TO PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION IN THE STUDY OF LOCAL HISTORY WITHIN THE TOWN OF LONGTOWN AND SURRONDING DISTRICT. SEE CONSTITUTION FOR FURTHER DETAILS.

**Activities:** To promote interest in the history of the Longtown area of South West Herefordshire by means of regular meetings. To collect material (archive, oral etc.) relating to the area to allow future generations/present day students etc. to have a research archive. To educate.
