– TRUSTEE REPORT FOR PERIOD MARCH 2025 MARCH 2026
Trustees:
Hazel Beckett Sylvia Rogerson Audrey Tarney
2025 Production – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
In May 2025 we staged a production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Ticket sales were good, with several full houses, however with all costs increasing we still made a small loss, but we were fortunate to have the support of our Social Committee which made the loss much lower than it could have been.
Rehearsals for The Wizard of Oz commenced in October 2025 and will be staged in April 2026. Many new members came along to the first rehearsal, including several children who will all be performing on stage – it is good to know the future of amateur dramatics is in good hands.
AGM
The AGM was held on 29 September 2025 and was well attended. This was Chaired by Sylvia Rogerson, President of LADOS.
Subscriptions/Show Fee had been agreed previously by the Trustees and it was agreed this would remain the same as last year - £100.
Ticket prices have been raised to £18/£16 in view of increasing costs.
2027 Production
Looking ahead, we have booked Legally Blonde for 2027 which will include adults and young adults but no juniors. As is always the case these days, as indicated above, costs are continually increasing but so far the announcement of this show has been positively received..
We are fortunate to have a wonderful Social Committee who are proving very successful in raising funds which go towards the cost of the show and the support of a good Committee.
