||In 1980, approximately 2.7 acres of land, forming part of the charity land<br>was sold and the Council dedicated a similar acreage of land in<br>substitution. Part of the King George’s Field was subsequently included in<br>the compulsory purchase order for the Aire Valley Trunk Road. The<br>compensation received from the Ministry of Transport was used for the<br>development of Marley Stadium. ## 1 Rugby Pitch 

An application to the Charity Commission was made on 17th July 1998 to dispose of two plots of land which were no longer required for the Aire Valley Road project. The proceeds thereon amounted to £33,687.42 in year 1998-99, £110,000 in 2000/01 and both were duly invested following advice from the Financial Advisors.

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

Day-to-day management and maintenance of the grounds and facilities of King George’s Field Keighley, including letting of the facilities, is undertaken by City of Bradford Metropolitan Council’s Sport & Culture Service in Department of Place. 

Fees and charges for the use of the facilities are reviewed by the Committee annually and implemented in the month of January. Income and Expenditure 

Income for the financial year ending 31st March 2023, totalled £96,074 which consisted of: 

1. Income from investments - £20,598 2. Bank Interest - £6,910 

3. Facilities lettings & other income - £50,486 

4. Receipts from sale of investments - £18,080 

Grounds maintenance & staffing costs totalled £59,786, giving net receipts for the year of £36,288. 

Assets - Cash and Capital Funds 

The cash and capital funds of the charity and the investment income therefrom are identified in the Charity accounts appended.
