The trustees continue to provide and maintain facilities for organisations and individuals throughout the community. The hall is available throughout the year and is used for a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, yoga, bowling, concerts, meetings, parties and other communty events. The hall provides facilities for people of all ages and abilities, including accessible toilets and kitchen facilities, ensuring that the venue remains inclusive and accessible to disabled users. A signrficant achievement during the year was the completion and off icial opening of the new inclusive play park. The project has created a safe, accessible and welcoming space where children of all abilities can play together, providing enhanced opportunities for recreation, inclusion and social interaction for f amilies across the village. Recognising the continued challenges faced by some members of the community during the cost-of-living crisis, the hall provided a warm space where local residents could meet, socialise and access support. We also continued with the warm packs which were distributed to people in need, and meals were provided at community events. These initiatives helped to reduce social isolation and su ort vulnerable residents. Feedback from residents indicated that the hall's activities helped reduce feelings of isolation and strengthened community spirit, with many commenting that the sense of village community had been restored and enhanced. Financial Review Review of the charity's f inancial position at the end of the period ara 1. The charty's income is derived primarily f rom hall hire, fundraising activities, donations and grants. Expenditure during the year primarily related to the operation and maintenance of the hall, including utilrties, insurance, repairs and administrative costs. Signrficant investrnent was also made in new equipment and improvements to the play park, culminab.ng in the completion of the county's only fully accessible and inclusive play park, providing high-quality play opportunities for children of all abilities. The trustees continue to monitor the charity's f inancial position carefully to ensure that suff icient funds are available for the ongoing operation, maintenance and future develo ment of the hall and its faciltties. Structure, Governance and Management Description of charity's trusts: New Hedges Village Hall is govemed by its goveming document and is managed by a committee of trustees who are responsible for the strategic direction and administration of the charity. Trustees are appointed in accordance with the provisions of the goveming document.
