**Activities:** To foster and promote the maintenance, improvement and development of artistic taste and the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the arts amongst the inhabitants of the Pocklington district by:mounting a series of monthly lectures [September-June]organising occasional visits to concerts, plays and stately homes
