The scout group has three trustees, Stephen Fearon, Andrew laytor and Rebecca Woodcock.

The scout group is part of the UK Scout Association and has to adhere to the Policy Organisation Rule Book of the association. The book covers the management structure the group must have in place. The rule book which is called POR details how trustees can be recruited.

The last financial year has been a very trying one as the Church Oak Vale URC closed down and the building and land went up for sale. The group

went into negotiations with the church synod to buy the scout headquarters and land it stood on. In April 2025 the purchase of land and buildings was completed. This was after many months of fund raising and kind donations of people. Hopefully the group can now go from strength to strength and continue the
