Powys CC closed the school in 2015. The principle of promoting education is now discharged by the provision of grants to former pupils or those who reside in the local area (or have resided in the local area at the discretion of the Trustees). The building is now let to the Radnorshire Arts & Crafts Foundation to generate an income, maintain the property and benefit the local community.
Objects: Promoting The Education (including Social And Physical Training) Of Persons Who Have Not Attained The Age Of 25 Years And Who Are Resident Or Have A Parent Or Parents Resident In The Area Of Benefit, Provided That Preference Shall Be Given To Persons Who Have At Any Time Attended Whitton School.
