Activities
Our activities are very much community based. A small fishing village, with an industrial history of ironstone mining, and steel works, only a small specialised part of the steelworks remaining (steel brought in by road/rail, from Teesside). High number of unemployed/retired in an area of social deprivation. A good and tight knit community, the village hall provides for the needs of the community
Objects: The Property To Be Held Upon Trust For The Purpose Of A Village Hall For The Use Of The Inhabitants Of Skinningrove In The Parish Of Loftus In The County Of Cleveland Without Istinction Of Political Religious Or Other Opinions Including Use The Meetings Lectures And Classes And For Other Forms Of Recreation And Leisure-Time Occupation With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Said Inhabitants.
