Independent examiner’s statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or

the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

ANNUAL REPORT AND FINACIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2024
OBJECTIVES, ACTIVITIES AND PUBLIC BENEFIT
To support the Rector and Churchwardens in their heavy responsibilities of preservation, repair, maintenance, restoration, improvement and ornamentation of the fabric of St Mary’s Church, Swansea.
To provide articles for use in worship at the services held in the church.
To work along side the Rector and Churchwardens as they seek to bind together in a common fellowship all those who live or work in the City or who worship in the Church. To actively promote the Christian gospel and to promote and encourage Church growth

ACHIEVEMENTS
The Friends have supported requests for a new sanctuary bell for use at the Holy Eucharist service; made a contribution to new office equipment; worked along side the church historian to move the Lewis Rotely memorial to a more prominent position as befits its status.
RESERVES POLICY
The Friends aim to retain a balance of unrestricted “free” reserves to provide working capital.
SAFEGUARDING
The Friends operate under the Church in Wales Safeguarding Policy.
