**Objects:** (A) TO PROMOTE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORY OF THE WARTON ANCIENT PARISH BE MEANS OF THE LECTURES, DISCUSSIONS FIELD STUDIES AND VISITS TO PLACES OF HISTORIAL INTEREST. (B) TO COLLECT AND PRESERVE DOCUMENTS AND PHOTOGRAPHS RELEVANT TO THE DISTRICT AND TO ASSIST IN THE PROTECTION OF THE PHYSICAL REMAINS OF THE PAST. (C) TO MAKE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC FROM TIME TO TIME SUCH WRITINGS OR DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE AS MAY BE APPROPRIATE.

**Activities:** Provide lectures by visiting speakers on historical events in the area. Encourage members to carry out and publish their own research.Publish a magazine and books concerning the historic parish of Warton, which included the townships of Borwick, Carnforth, Priest Hutton, Silverdale, Yealand Conyers and Yealand Redmayne.Store archives of historic material of local concern.Establish web site
