A great contribution is made by member volunteers. We are grateful for
the many hourfs volunteers spend fundraising on our behalf. Without this
valuable contribution of time, energy and eXPe￿'se we would not have
been able to have athieve so much.
Volunteers also give of their time to support activities for the children
such as setting up the Grotto at Christmas.

Section D
Summary ofthe main
achievements of the charlty
during the year
Achievements and performance
This year has seen the completion of the library project, as well as our
usual range of fundraising activities.
Autumn Terni 2023
Friends of Victoria Supports the Christmas Market which is held in school
every year at the beginning of December. It gives the pupils a lovely
Christmas shopping experience and enables them to buy and wrap gifts
for their family members. This activity is not aimed at raising funds but at
offering the children a learning experience. The aim is to break even.
Our Santa Special event was again extremely well supported by our
families. This event gives families access to Santa in a very special grotto
in an easily accessible environment. Again, our Grotto was created by
our willing volunteers over 3 days at the beginning of December. As well
as using it at the Santa Special was also used by each class during the
last week of term. It provides a multi-sensory environment for the children
to visit.
Each class was given money for presents largely in the fomi of new
equipment for the children.
Friends of Victoria also supports the Christmas lunch by providing
additional items such as crackers, balloons and chocolate.
During the second half of this term work began on the Library and was
completed early in 2024.
Sprlng Tern 2024
The Spring Temi saw the opening of the new Library in March. This wa3
lovely occasion supported by Friends of Victoria and also many of the
Charities who had donated money to the Project. It is now a lovely
m¢)dem accessible place for the children to enjoy.
We would once again like to thank the following charities who helped
make the project possible.
The Patrick Trust
The Rowlands Trust
William Cadbury Trust
Eveson Trust
Tumer Trust
SummorTerni 2024
This term we held our usual Raffle and Summer Fair. The Raffle was
extremely well supported and raised over £1500. The Summer Fair was
also well supported and the weather was kind to us this year so we could
hold it in the grounds of the school.
During this temi Friends helped to purchase an eye gaze system for use
in the school. This is a very important piece of equipment, as it enables
children to be assessed for this way of being able to communicate. Most
of the funding came from the Restricted fund for communication. we
topped up the balance of 1200 from General funds.
We would like to thank the followin
