the many houls volunteers spend fundraising on our behalf. Wthout Ihis

Achievements and performance
This has been a very unusual year for Fnends of Victona as we have
been left a large amount of money as a legacy. We are extremely graleful
for this and are lookn'ng at ways of spending this, however we are keen
thal it is not all spent on one propd but is used to support projects wisely
over the r￿xI few years. This donation also ensures the sustainabiliiy of
the Chartty. We have 8Eready allorated £10,000 to the Library project.

during the year
Autumn Temi 2022
This year our Santa Speoa Event was able to go ahead for the first time
since 2019. ft was extremely well SUPFQrted by families. A huge part of
this is the Grotto and our willing helpers created this at the teginning of
December over 3 days. As wdl as using it at the Sants Special was also
used by each dass during the last week of tenn.11 provides a multi-
sensory environment for the children to visit.
Each dass was given wrfMey for presents largely in the fomi of new
equipment for the children.
Friends of Victoria 8180 SUPPOrts the Chrislmas lunch by providing
8•Yditsonal item5 such as crackers. balloons and ch￿1818.
Sprlng Terni 2023
During Ihe Spring Tern the school began fundraising for the Library
refurbishment project.
During this temi Friends re￿l￿d an unexpected legacy and committed
£10,IxIO to tss proi&a from that *acy.
We also agreed to provide medals for 8 sponsored walk around
Bimiingham library's to be completed in the summer temi.
We are very grateful to the fOlkn￿n9 organisations for also supporting the
Library ProJ￿t.

Dunng this temi we supported the sthool in holding a Coronation Party.
We purchased r￿alS for all the children. and members of FOV Joined in
the celebrations.
We held a suttessfvl SumffEr Raffle and Summer Fair. unfortunately the
weather was a lrttle unkind to us on this occasion Ixrt it was still an
enjoyable day.

As rep)rted last year this propd was unable to go ahead in the planned
formal due lo a variety of reasons. Much of the money pledged has been
retumed and plans are currently being fin￿lSed for the COMF￿et10n of
work with the small funds available.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31/08/2023** 

**Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of  the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or 

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or 

- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
