Chairman’s report 2021 to 2022

At last we were able to start meeting face to face after the Covid virus. Unfortunately we were unable to meet in the day room in the hospital but we met in the rugby club by courtesy of Llandovery RFC.

One of the first meetings was a high tea to celebrate one of our long serving members, Mrs Nesta Evans on receiving

Even though we were unable to meet regularly we kept in touch with the staff of Llandovery cottage hospital to help them with any requests for any purchases they needed to help patients have a more pleasant stay while having treatment. Some of the purchases we made this year were 10 bed monitors, 6 special chairs with all the necessary extras.

Our main focus during the year has been to start having discussions with the health authority about the proposed change of use of the old primary school into a health hub. We have also had discussions with the local doctors and the board to try and improve services that are/were being provided in the hospital and have been severely damaged since covid.
