## **Trustees’ Annual Report Waltham Windmill Trust Brigsley Road Waltham DN37 OJZ Registered Charity number 512475** The Report for period 01/04/2020 – 31/03/2021 The Waltham Windmill Trust is made up of 12 Trustees, 6 representing North East Lincolnshire Council, 3 representing Waltham Parish Council and 3 representing the Waltham Windmill Preservation Society. All Trustees are agreed upon by members of the Trust and sign the Trust Deed upon appointment. See return for Trustee details. The objective of the Trust is to maintain the Windmill site, promote, preserve, and maintain the historic Grade 2 star listed Mill and provide an enjoyable visitor attraction. Our funds primarily arise from visitor entry to the Mill, events held and rental income from the tenanted properties on-site. During the period reported we, like many have been required to remain closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. This resulted in no visitor income for the period and no firework event which is our largest fundraising event. Staff were placed on furlough and the units onsite were closed. With the loss of income, expenditure on site maintenance and the upcoming repairs to the Mill, the Covid grants we received were essential to see us through the year. As the site was closed for most of the year the opportunity was there to carry out essential maintenance on the site, including road repairs, new fencing, car park marking and hedge cutting. The site is looking wonderful and we hope that with the Mill repairs and painting to follow that the future is looking up!
