Annual Report 2023-24
This is the second year we have resumed our Chinese School after the Covid-19 lock-down period. We are pleased that 80% of our pupils have returned to traditional classroom teaching whilst 5% of our pupils stayed with our on-line teaching.
Besides Chinese school we have carried out other activities like the UK Chinese schools recital Competition, Qipao (Cheongsam/ Mandarin gown) competition in the Bridgewater Garden. They were well received by the communities and general public. We have been actively meeting and seeking philanthropies to consolidate our centre. Hence we have 3 more trustees added to our existing three. Therefore our current trustees are: Mr. Tyze Kai Tai Li MBE, Mr. Siu Woon Chu, Mrs Jenny Stott, Mr. Jian Rong Huang, Mr. Mounming Lin and Mr. Hanjiang Jam Lin. We have also gained the support of Dr. Lee Kai Hung CBE who pledged to help us to acquire a building for our centre. Hence we have viewed several properties last year but haven’t found a suitable one yet. Dr. Lee’s wife also agreed to sponsor our Qipao competition in the Bridgewater Garden.

Responsibilitles and basis of report As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ("the Act"). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
