Trustee selection methods Any ordinary member may be nominated for election to the Committee (eg. appointed by, elected by) provided that he is over 18 years of age, is not in arrears with his subscriptions and has been a member of the Muslim council for at least 6 months. Each nomination must be proposed by an ordinary member and seconded by an ordinary member and should be received by the Secretary at least one month before the Annual General Meeting. A list of proposed nominees should be posted in the Muslim Council 10 days office before the Annual General Meeting.

In the event of any Trustee dying, resigning or being removed from office another shall be appointed by resolution of a majority of members present and entitled to vote at the annual general meeting or at a special general meeting. Every resolution appointing a Trustee shall be entered on the Minutes of the meeting at which he is appointed.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
