Having had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit, the Trustees confirm that the following activities are undertaken for the public benefit: - Dramatic performances; - Recitals; - Play readings; - Lectures; - Arts festivals; - Arts exhibitions; **Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** - Public concerts; - Other arts events. ## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)** Nantwich Players does not make grants to others. You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about: - policy on grantmaking; - policy programme related investment; - contribution made by volunteers. **TAR** **April 2009** 3 ## Section D Achievements and performance **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** - Nantwich Players had 130 members during the period, with an additional 25 members of its Youth Theatre and many on the waiting list. - Operational Recovery from the effects of the Coronavirus Pandemic were complete during the year, with 6 main house productions, a ‘Youth Theatre’ production and three ‘Studio’ productions. - In addition, a new service for 6-11 yr olds has been operational on Saturday mornings. - Nantwich Players again won the ‘Best Northern 1 act Production’ in the All England Festival during the year. **TAR** **April 2009** 4 ## **Section E Financial review** **Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves** Reserves are divided into General Reserves and Property Fund Reserves. General Reserves are available for the Executive Committee to allocate as required for operational, maintenance, refurbishment and repair purposes. The charitys trustees consider thal an audit is not required for this year uThJer section 144{2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to: examine t￿ accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act; to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 14515)Ibl of the 2011 Act. and to state whèther particular matters have come to my attention.
