THE PRESERVATION OF THE CHARACTERISTIC PLANTS AND ANIMALS OF THE DISTRICT AND THEIR HABITATSIV. THE DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION TO OTHER INTERESTED ORGANISATIONS AND THE GENERAL PUBLICV. THE FURTHER EDUCATION OF MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN ALL ASPECTS OF NATURAL HISTORY

**Activities:** (1)The study of Natural History, Geology and Archaeology. (2)The collection of information concerning topography, field paths. natural  and archaelogical features of Darlington District and Teesdale including compilation of lists of recent fossils, fauna and flora.(3) The preservation of characteristic plants and animals of the district.
