Improvements to access and<br>shooting facilities are made to comply with<br>changes in legislation but, more particularly, to<br>meet individual needs, as they arise.<br>20% of the Club’s membership are classed as<br>Junior: that is under 21 years of age. These<br>members come from a variety of backgrounds,<br>particularly the Scout movement and the Cadet<br>Forces.<br>At the opposite end of the age spectrum, 20%<br>of the Club’s membership are over 65. Overall,<br>members range from 11 to 92 years of age<br>and there is a steady increase in the number of<br>ex-Services and Police personnel whom we<br>are most pleased to welcome.|

|Other||Commercial activities and transactions are<br>executed in such a way as to make a margin<br>sufficient to cover the running costs of the<br>Club. Mindful, however, of the unpredictable<br>nature of repair and maintenance costs,<br>modest reserves are accrued and expenditure<br>on property to which the Club does not hold<br>title is kept to a minimum.<br>The cost of meeting our legal and social<br>obligations is ever on the increase. Service<br>agreements are in place for fire and security<br>monitoring, with the cost of system upgrades<br>being met from income.<br>Health and Safety driven Risk Assessments<br>are routinely conducted.<br>The Club undertakes to fund training for its<br>members where benefit is derived directly by<br>the membership: for example, in the provision|

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/10/2022. 

**Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of  the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or 

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or 

- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
