The focus of our activities remains to provide a range of quality services to disabled people, their families and carers, enabling greater accessibility and integration. We promote equality and social justice through information and empowerment. - Information service gives advice on any disability related issue to people with disabilities, their families and carers - Assisting people to complete welfare benefit forms. - Drop in sessions for physically disabled adults and their carers. ## **ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE** As our membership ages and health declines and we sadly lose them, users of the drop in has fallen to 40 members. Yet they do still know how to celebrate and have a good time, particularly at Christmas. This year saw 35 getting together to eat, drink and be merry, while enjoying a carol service performed for us by a local primary school. Our Welfare Benefits Service continues to deliver advice and support to people with any disability from older people to the parents of infants and their families and carers, regardless of whether due to age, physical, mental, or learning disability. This specialist service is tailored and bespoke to the needs of each individual and guides them from application through medicals, appeals and 1st tier tribunals. There is no other tailored advice service offering this in our area. People with disabilities face financial and social marginalisation, the need to get support without facing barriers whether physical or attitudinal is paramount. Our services mean they are not only better off financially, but the detrimental effects of money worries and loneliness are reduced or eradicated and they have improved well-being and quality of life. ## **This financial year we have helped 1454 clients to generate income by claiming benefit entitlements of £10.7 million.** With just three part time staff, the challenges of delivering our services and attaining our achievements have only been possible thanks to their dedication and the huge contribution of our wonderful trustees, volunteers and of course our funders. Our sincere thanks to all of them. ## **FINANCIAL REVIEW** Trustees considered a 3-month operational costs reserve. However, they decided in the current financial operations climate it wasn't realistic at this time. It will be addressed again in July 2026 during policy review. Total funds carried forward on 31[st] March 2026 were £51,948.84 Thanks to our funders, Lloyds Bank Foundation, Postcode Neighbourhood Trust, the National Lottery Awards 4 All, Sellafield Ltd, and Cumberland County Council. Thanks also to those individuals who have made donations big and small in appreciation of the support they have received from us. ## **PLANS FOR FUTURE PERIODS** We will continue to take full advantage of all the support offered to us by our strategic partners to make Allerdale Disability Association more resilient. I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. **Independent** I have completed my examination.
