Chair of Trustee5 Report
During this year, again, we have continued to work with our legal team to ensure we are compliant
with the Charity Commission statLrtory regulations. We are pleased that the commission ha5 closed
our case and our legal team are satisfied that we are now compliant with charity legislation.
Unfortunately, the day centre has not resumed this year. In apart this was due to the ongoing issues
that needed to be resolved regarding the charity constitution. As we have now. hopefully, concluded
this work. We. as trustees. have been exploring avenues as to how we can ensure the day centre 15
up and running again. This is essential, as the charitys purpose is to provide thi5 service as stated in
aur constitution as this is bound by charity law.
Trustees have negotiated with a local provider and are in the final proceedings of sourcing suitable
accommodation and staffing for the day centre to resume. Hopefully, we will be able to share this
good news with all stakeholders in the coming weeks.
The transport contracts continue to operate and are profitable for the charity. New tenders will be
issues in line with contract expiry dates. Again, stsff will be made aware of this in due course.
The Charity remains in a strong financial position and can been seen in the report. The charity has
donated £IO.000 POUNDS TO ACORNS WALSALL
Can I thankthe transport stsff fortheir work in this vitsl arm of our charity workand forthe care
they provide for the sen11￿ users. I know families are grateful of this.
Thank you to the trustees for volunteering their time and expertise for strategic oversight of the
Charity.
Again a huge thank you to both Neil and Sandrd fortheir continued effi)rts, their dedication and
commitmentto the charity and the people it serves.
M Breakwell
Chair of Trustees.
