The Association provides facilities in and around the village of Dalston, North Cumbria. These e services mainly comprise:Provision of recreational facilities in the “Recreation Area” namely a well equipped outside Play Area; Football Field and the Recreation Centre, a purpose built building used by numerous and diverse groups from the village. In addition to this, the Association acts as a parent body to the Bowling and Tennis Club, which both started as offshoots of the Association but are now self governing. They operate mainly on land owned by the Association. Such funds as the Association has comes almost exclusively from lettings on the building and from grants, normally allocated for specific use. The money is spend on the upkeep of the facilities and, where possible, their improvement. The end of this year has seen the end of an era. The Committee of the recent years is now handing over to a new generation.
