## **ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31T MARCH 2021**

## **LEGBOURNE AND LITTLE CAWTHORPE COMMUNITY CENTRE AND RECREATION GROUND**

## **CHARITY NUMBER 509916**

The object of the Community Centre is to provide and maintain the Community Centre and Recreation ground for the use of the inhabitants of the parishes of Legbourne and Little Cawthorpe, along with the wider community.

The Management Committee comprises:

Chairperson - Mr M Booth

Secretary - Mrs L Pocklington

Treasurer - Mrs J Thackray

Other Trustees - Mr R Peck, Mrs D Lyons, Mrs A Grist, Ms L Eastwood,

Mr J Marvin, Mr C Stephenson

For much of the financial year, the Community Centre had to be closed due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the Management Committee members kept in regular touch by phone and email, and passed on relevant information to other trustees by email.

We received during the year £21,003 in Retail, Hospitality and Leisure grants from East Lindsey District Council. Lettings for the year when opening the hall was allowed, brought in £1,826.

Expenditure wise, we continued to have to pay the insurance and utility bills, the regular grass cutting of the playfield, and the essential maintenance costs for the buildings.

In preparation for the reopening of the playground, we purchased a new Play Tower £2,760 in August, and in September we were able to purchase a new swing £3,732 for the playground to replace the old one which had to be decommissioned. Bark chip was also purchased for the playground. Once the playground was allowed to reopen, it was good to see it being used after school by the children from the village school.

With the ongoing uncertainly around the Covid pandemic, looking forward to the next financial year, we will review regularly whether we have our regular car boot sales, which are a large part of our fundraising activities.

Future development plans have been put on hold until we get back to regular lettings and fundraising activities.

Michael Booth

Chairperson
