Stopfordian Parents’ Association Annual Report

2 0 2 4 - 2 0 2 5

About the SPA

Stockport Grammar School is proud to have the committed support and assistance of the Stopfordian Parents’ Associates (SPA) who organise fun activities and events for pupils and parents to enjoy whilst raising funds to enhance the children’s experience throughout the whole school.

Parents of pupils across the entire school can get involved by joining the committee, attending meetings, organising events or becoming a class representative.

If you would like more information on how to get involved, email spa@stockportgrammar.co.uk

All about Class Reps

The Class Rep is an important Role as you are the link between the SPA and your classes. There are many parents who, although are automatically a part of the SPA, aren't active, so with your help we are able to pass along important information. This may include dates of/invitations to events and fundraising activities, meetings, getting volunteers for sports day and the Christmas Fair, asking for donations for Uniform Sales and Bag2School, and any other messages that need to be relayed.

As well, you take on organising the class gifts for teachers for Christmas and End of year. Many class reps also organise nights out with the other parents to get to know one another. And set up What'sapp groups for each class/year.

For the Christmas Fair (this year will be 29th November), each year group takes on organising and managing a stall during the fair (11 am - 2 pm). They help organise the volunteers and donations for the booths as well.
