Annually, new trustees are supported and inducted by the outgoing trustees via
a handover proces5 concerning the affairs of the charity.
There is a committee of supporters that asslst the Trustees and provide advice
support and continuity for the charity.
Trustees 3re encouraged to participate in development opportunities provided
by the Yorkshire Federation of Young Farmers, Clubs. The templates and
resources for this are provided by the National Federation of Young Farmers,
Clubs and additional information is provided by the county federation of YFCS.
The charity 15 affiliated to the Yorkshire Federation of Young Farmers, Clubs and
the National Federation of Young Famers Clubs. Together these form a network
of clubs throughout England and Wales for young people aged 10 to 26 year5.

The objects of the charity are:
l. To advance the education of young members of the public at large in
their knowledge of agriculture, crafts, life skills, rural affair5 and country

In the interests of the social welfare of such members to provide and
promote the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure time
occupations, being facilities which will improve their conditions of life
and will as51St in the development of their spiritual and mental
capacitie5, self-re1iance and individual responsibility so that they may
grow to full maturity as individuals and members of the community.

The Trustees confirm that they have paid due regard to the guidance issued by
the Charity Commission on public benefit in decidin£ what activities the charity
should undertake.
During the last year our young farmer5 has partaken in a number of
competitions up and down the country representing not only the club but also
the county in stockjudging and floral art5 right through to Sports. We as a club
have been able to develop the members skills in our weekly meetings with local
companies and also by visiting local farms having mock judging nights were we
in invite a local judge to help develop and perfect our skills. It has been great to
see members confidence grow each week as we offer a balanced programme to
suit all ages 10-26 even added in domino drives for the local villagers to come
along and really embrace the family spirit. We also take part in a local parade
which really helps with our recruitment along with the club spirit, dressing up
and have a laugh with eachother along with giving back to our local community
as its something watched by thousands.

The charity recruits its members from a significant section of the community at
large. Everyone aged 10 to 26 year can be a member of Winksley cum Grantlev
Young Farmer5 Club in order to participate in activities and discussions that
increase their knowledge of agriculture, crafts rural affairs and country life. The
charity actively recruits its members, aged 10 to 28 years, from a catchment
area of 5 miles of Grantley.
The club activities also tontribute to and create leisure activities for members
and on occasion for the rural community in which the charity operates. The
community around the charity benefits from our members being active citizens
that contribute to the rural community.

We have organised charity and community events throughout the year
which volunteers have given up countless evenings and weekends as
part of the planning process to make a success for our members and
those enjoying the events.

Achievements and performance
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
During the past year we have celebrated our 80th Anniversary as a club
and have held a dinner in which we invited all our current and past
members to enjoy the night with us which was a great success. We also
hosted a charity dance in memory of one of our ex members that
tragically passed away due lo sepsis and we have raised funds as a club
to donate to the charity and also a local hospice too.
Within the year we have had many other successes with welcoming
several new members to the club along with some great results at
competitions.11 has been great to see all the younger members grow in
confidence as the year has gone on.
