Pastor's Report Jan 2022- Jan 2023 In the18Styearwe have met everyweeklor a Sundayservice. with a children's church. Once a month we have a Café Church. which is an informalfamily service seated attsbles with food available. This is geared for children and is very relaxed and perfe¢tfor people to bringf riends who wouldnt normallygoto church. We have developed our pa team. bought new equipment. and developed our worship team. A new group have been set up on a Sunday lunchtime. Originally it was a"Warm Room" providingfood, and drink. activities. and a chance to meet others and chat. It continues on the same basis. but is called" Knit or Natter°We continueourthreeweekly LIFE Groups. In the week there is also a prayer meeting and worship practice. AS a church we employed Lesley as a part time families and children's worter to visit some of the local primary schoolsto lead acts ofworship and help wth lessons. She leadstwo After School Clubs, supported by a great team. in two of the local primary schools. Lesley ha$ also liaised with local community groups helping with theirfood share clubs. We have developed our chur¢h leadershipteam and newleaders havejoined the leadership team. We continue to meet once a month and liaise regutaily throughout the week. We have recently attended the Ground Level National Leaders Conference in Swanwick. Sadly our treasurers, lan and Gill, felt it Was time to move on and very amic8bly left for pa8tures new. However, Simon and Margaretjoined us atthe sametime. and Simon offered to take on the role of treasurer. This was God's perfect timing, and a real blessingto us. We also have four new trustees, alongside myself. We have attended Trustees training 8nd have done a lot of work to ensure that we are actingvery professionally and efficiently as a charty- We have continued to support an event called Street Church byattendingeach week. and wf(h financialsupportand donations of food to people who are struggling financiatiy in a local estate. And we have our own food bank which we have aL50 used to help local people who are struggling. We also worked again in partnership with a localfamilies and children's organisation to provide full Christmas dinner, buffet for tea and bags of food for 14 Ioc21 families. We also sent off 19 Boxes of essential items to children around the world through a missionary organisation. We havejoined in wtth other churchesto put on events forthe benefitof local people. One laoe event was Church In The Park. at Berry Hill park. viith a joint worship band and children's activities. We had 8 lot of people attend. There was also the Easter Churches Together witn88S which I tookpart in the seNce atthechurch and in the marketplace.we have also organised various events as a church such as . Creation Ministries Intern8tion81 event Pub Quiz in a local pub Passover Mealchurch Christmas Me81 Men's8nd ladies ministrywe have a new church email address, and are having a newwebsite designed for us. We have had new signs and banners designedfor us and are developingour Facet>ook page and YouTube channel. We are in the process of planning another big Church festival at Berry Hill Park. with The Message Trust. Teen Challenge, Dougie Dug Dug and a fulljoint YrShiP band. We have other events we are organising such 8s Church Barbeque. Church walk and outreach events. We continue to support other charrties regularly and tithe as a church to many different Christian organisation$ such asopen Doors. Tear Fund. Youth For Christ Ground Level.
