## Charles young centre

## TRUSTEES REPORT 2021

What can be said about the last 12 months. We have been closed, open, closed and finally open. If it hadn’t been for the Government grants the centre would have been finished or close to it. Unfortunately we lost one of our users to the covid virus, but when the age group of our users is 60-100 years I think that has been quite remarkable.

Instead as I write this report we are flourishing as lockdowns ease and people are beginning to return to normal. As a result of those Government grants our financial situation is firm and we look forward to the future.

Staff wise we have lost John Bianchi and Peter Payne but on the positive side we have Fred and Peter, our two new recruits, who have settled in very smoothly.

Hall hire is not back to normal yet but it is slowly building up and when in full swing will bring in much needed funds.

To add to our services we have turned one of the lounges into a hairdressers salon and provide the users with onsite haircuts courtesy of our resident hairdresser Rachel.

The volunteers remain as committed as ever my thanks can’t be measured enough and the number of Trustees has also kept the same.

There’s not much left to say about the non eventful year but let’s hope everyone stays safe and the centre gets back to normal.
