EXECUTIVE TRUSTEE'S REPORT
AGM - Friday 12 APRIL 2024
The Trustees are satisfied with the day-to-day running of
the IAYCA Centre.
We have now been opened for 26 years and are a well-
established Community Centre. We have good support
from the public. There are activities taking place on each
day of the week and Parties on most weekends. Our
Bookings are very good and we make the Public welcome.
Our bingo sessions are very popular on Wednesday
afternoons and Friday evenings.
Our finances are in good order thanks to Daphne, our
Treasurer. Thanks go to Joan for all her work as Secretary.
Thanks go to Bill for all the work that he does.
Thanks go to all our Volunteers for their help and support.
We have a nice Nursery in this building and we work very
closely with them.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's Iruslees are responsible t'or the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that
an audil is not required t-or this year under section 144 of the Charilies Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an
independent examination is needed.
li is my responsibility to:
examine ihe accounls under section 145 of the Charities Act.
lo follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section
145(5){b) of the Charities Act. and
to slate w'hether particular matters have come to my atlention.
Basis of independent examiner's statement
M>, examiiiation was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An
examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison ot" the accounts
presented wilh those records. li also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts
and seeking7 explanations t'rom the trustees concemingy any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not
provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit. and consequenily no opinion is given as to
whether the accounts present a 'true and t"air' view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the
statemeni below.
Independent examiner's statement
In connection with my examination. no matter has come to my attention
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in. any inaterial respect, the requirements:
to keep accouiitin&7 records in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act: and
to prepare accounts which accord with ihe accounling records and comply wilh the accounting requiremenls
ot'the Charities Aci have not been met; or
2. to which. in my opinion. attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts
to be reached.
