## **Objectives and activities**

## **Achievements and performance** 

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the financial period** 

Main fundraising achievements: 

- Two quizzes raised over £3000 

- - Donations at the school music concerts raised £418 to fund support for music students 

- Christmas and Summer Raffles together raised over £2000 

- - Used uniform sales raised over £5300 

- The Burns Night Supper raised over £10,400 for the PE department 

Funding provided to school: 

- £33,428 to contribute towards the refurbishment of the PE changing facilities 

- £16,000 to contribute towards school purchasing a new minibus 

- - £7,686 for the Music and Drama departments to upgrade the light and sound technology in the Forum 

- £2,925 to purchase 50 microscopes for the science department 

- - £66 raised in cash donations at the spring music concert to support the music department purchasing new technology 



## **Financial review** 

## **Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves** 

The PTA needs reserves for the following reasons: 

- To ensure that the PTA has sufficient working capital to carry out its day to day activities; 

- To protect again significant fluctuations in income; 

- To provide the funds required to wind-up the business in the event that the PTA as a charity was no longer a going concern. 

The PTA Committee has agreed the following target reserves levels: 

   - Minimum “general” reserves equivalent to 18 months operating costs 

- Plus “additional” reserves in the event of there being significant unforeseen fluctuations in annual income levels
