Myddle Village Hall Managemern Committee is re¥)onsible for administering the
villago hall to provide a venue r the parish fr)r meeling8, 18dures, classes
leisure actNrties wilh thè object of mproving the corKJilions of life of inhabrtarrts of the
parish.

Ouring the year the hall has been regularty used by the Fr￿￿shiP Club, a monthly
bingo session. tho ccMnmilt88 of H¥mef Hill arKI District and Myddle Youlh Club.
In November the hall began hosting Mythle Clickefs, a group aimed at eliminaling
digital 8xdusion in the wish by offeriro to help r*ople h8virYJ d￿l￿tty in accessiro
on-line servicAs.
Films wore bookod wilh ArtsAlive for shcrwing in the hall under the Flit&s irt tho
Slicks banner. These film sh¢￿5 remain popukgr with a loyal followirvJ. The 2024-25
season eTrtsd on a high nole wilh 818rg8 audBnce for tfp showirvJ of Conclave
shortly after It won best picture at the 78th Brilish Academy Film Awards
A coffee moming was held on 1 Y Apn"I prim¥ily ftr wrpose of prcxnoting tre
vi11399 hall lottory and encouragry volunteers to Join tho Fr￿nd9 of Myddl8
Village Hall The offer for k)rtery was to ask for a paymenl of £10 to support tho
hall in return fcr the thance of winning a &qsh prize of up lo £1 CK>. Eventually, by tl
tim8 the firsl dr&w was held n S8Plember 1 tK) tickets had t￿n sold which rais&
net £580 for the hall. Eight public sprited peq)le joined Friends of Myddle
Villaga Hall and they havo gin(% hgipad the villagè h811 comrnrtt8e lo sustain a very
busy Frogramme of 9v8nts and activitigs.
In May an int8m8t cornectK)n was nslalleo at lh8 hall. Th￿ has enablea card
payments lo be accwted al events in the hall whith Is cleaty 8n Nnportant
development as the number of pecple preferring to Pay by card rather than cash
increase3. The inlemet connection has also ￿￿bled Ihe hall to te used try My(*Jle
Clickers to help paople gain the confidence to make usa of iMp￿arrt on4ine seNiee8
such as the NHS AFP.

A Scarecrow Festival was rLn joint￿ wrth Myddl8 Youth Club on 13th S8ptember.
Twenty-one SCAf8crows wefe W*terod but h8avy ran al about midday ￿5s￿lY
deterred people from buying a map arvj viewin9 the scareuows. Nevertheless a net
£250 was raised and sh¥ed belween villa9e hall and the Y￿trI dub.

A Clyistmas Fayre was held on 2* November. AttractKYis i￿luded a vw*ty of
stalls wrth gfft ideas, refreshmenls including mulled wine arKI mince pos, a ￿ne or
wa18r st811 arvj craft actIvrt￿s f¢Y thildM. A tot81 of £350 was r8128d.

Th8 rna￿ maintenarce acttvty y8ar was tha resurfacirrfJ of the car park, It
has b••n dolly￿rat1￿ for some yews and Ihi8 year rt Was P088¢blè to deal with the
problom with the help of grants from the NalF3nal Lottery Communily Fund and the
Parish Cr￿￿¢11. The work was carried Out in the last week of May to coincide with the
school's harf lemi and keep disrup1K￿ to a minimum.

The Village Hal inc￿9 from activities imwoved again in 2025. In p*ticular du8 to
income from the Village Hall IcAtwy sei w in the y88r and mora event$ be￿a to
raise funds. Overall. irwme (exGludiryJ gr￿15) for the wa¥ up by Just over
£1.3(Ki Irom 2(r24 The Village H811 also re￿IVed the ojstom￿￿ granl from the
Parish Council ￿ r8cognrtK)n d the valuabl8 SUPPOrt provided to the ccmnmunily. The
Parish Council also wovided Ihg b8lance ol funding newjed lo trjp LP the Grant
Lottery Fundiro recetved lo the much needed resurfacing of the car park to
iakg place.
Excluding repars. 96￿ra1 has rfyJuxd by nearly £1,500. This is mainly
due lo the decrease in enargy Costs arn1 th• lewef hows worked by Ihe caretaker.
The cgr park repairs of aknost £18,c￿ was Mly fundwj, so has rK overall effect
the financial posit￿n of the Vill￿e Hall.
Overall, the aCc￿rrtS show an n-yoar prrfil of £625, ojnpgred wrth B ljss of £6,389
In 2024. leaving the cash avail&>le to the Village Hall at just over £12.600. This Is
due to th8 re(*Jced costs and Ihe increa8e in KtiVit￿8 akmg with tt)e revised chwges
for hall hire introdueod in year. need to continue to review ch￿$ overall
