Saffron Resource Centre
The Saffron Resource Centra is a centrally I(￿alad tsxnmunity reswrce. provlding IE)gal and welfare rights informallon,
advic8 and advocacy, tenancy support, detached youth work. mobility scootw hAro. sexual h¥4lth.and pre
unselling, specialist debt advlce. famlly law and careers guidance. Offic& facilltles, intervie￿-..
and meeting rooms are avallable for hire. Our local Councillors and MP use our prgmises for.th4ir.sufgell8s'.
Saffron Acres
'Saffron Acres is an envlronmental project situatéd on a On￿ negl8ded twelve acre site, I￿$t around Ih""é (xarrier from
the Resource Cenlre. This project wtres on food growlng, glvlng opportunltles to allow indtviduals. lo grow
themselves out of povety. It Is also the home of the award winnlng and highly succossful Saffron Acres Jam providing
real lrfe work opportuniti8s for young adults ¥Mth learniro difficutttes.
Saffron Healh
The idea of Saffron Healh was born in 2009 OLrt of fruslralionDver the lack of affordable houslng beiro bulll In the area
n there was an abundanc8 of disused land. The s￿ror Development Worker spent the next five years developlng
partnershlps that allowed tha charity to asset transfèr 13 acres of18nd from Lethsler City Councll lo build 68
affordable rented Eco homes. This £10.5 milllon project not only brought new homes and lobs, but also
allowth us to OP8n up 6 acres of new green space for public access.
