Of Whitb Merchant Seamen's Hos
ital Houses
We report on the financial accounts for the year ended 31 December 2025 on pages 3 to 8.
Respective Responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner
As described on page I th¢ Charity's Trust¢es are responsible for the preparation of Financial
Accounts. It is our responsibility to examine the accounls under section 145 of the Charities
Act, to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity
Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act) and state any particular matters that
have come to our attention.
Basis of indep¢nd¢nt examiner's statement
Our examination was carried out in accordance with general Direclions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity
and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideraÉion
of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees
conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that
would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts
piesent a 'true and fair, view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement
below.
Indepelldent examiner's statement
In connection with our exarnination, no matter has come to our attention
which gives us reasonable cause to believe that in, any material Tespect, the
requirements:
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act.
to prepare accounts which accord with the accountÉng records and comply with
the accounting requirements of the Charities Act have not been met. or
to which, in our opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper
understollding of the accounts to be reached.
