Achievements and performance
During this year the Holdsworth Club:
-
Has continued to work on its governance and procedures to ensure that it is meeting its charitable objectives.
-
The Club elected a new student committee of volunteer office holders who met regularly to run the Holdsworth Club.
-
The Trustees met with the student committee, as needed, to provide advice and support.
-
The Club provided a range of careers events free of charge to students.
-
It provided a number of networking opportunities with legal professionals and with would-be lawyers.
-
It continued the work of the Club and provided opportunities for students to join and become part of a community of lawyers, both student and alumni.
-
It provided peer mentoring and tutoring support to student members.
-
We paused the Holdsworth Club annual lecture again this year and instead focused on redeveloping the Holdsworth Club Ball with annual address by a leading legal figure. Next year we hope to reintroduce the Holdsworth Club Annual Lecture in addition.
Structure
The Holdsworth Club structure has remained the same during the period of review and this is being kept under review for the 2025-26 year.
