**Objects:** TO PROMOTE, MAINTAIN, FOSTER AND ADVANCE IN THE NORTH OF ENGLAND AND PARTICULARLY IN YORKSHIRE AND HUMBERSIDE THE EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE APPRECIATION OF OPERA CHORAL WORKS IN ALL THEIR ASPECTS AND RELATED ORCHESTRAL WORKS AND TO CO-OPERATE WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND CULTURAL SOCIETIES RELATING TO THE PRACTICE, PRESENTATION AND STUDY OF OPERA IN ORDER TO PROMOTE BETTER AND MORE WIDESPREAD PERFORMANCES OF OPERA, CHORAL AND ORCHESTERAL WORKS.

**Activities:** Financial assistance towards the running costs of Opera North, by organising opera talks, concerts and recitals and by publicising opera events in the region.
