Approximately £29,200 was given out. The main beneficiaries were the Rotary Foundation, End Polio Now, Charity Link, FOCUS, Love4Life, LOROS and Food Banks. During the last year the Club has continued to provide Christmas hampers and Easter eggs to families in Leicestershire via several foodbanks. A main focus during the year was to raise funds to provide cancer detection equipment to hospitals in India. A Bollywood themed dance night raised over £7,000 towards this cause. The Music in the Park festival was organised by the Club for the second time in 2023. A surplus of £5,950 was split between 3 local charities. Due to increasing costs, lower returns and higher risk levels the club decided that 2023 would be the last year of Music in the Park. The Club organised the 2023 Disability Games within District 1070 and generated income of £3,450 to support this event. The club will run the event again in 2024/5 Overall donations were made to a further 8 local or national charities and the club supported 1 overseas project.. **TAR** March **2012** 4 ## **Section E Financial review** **Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves** The trustees ensure that reserves are maintained at a reasonable level so as to be able to respond to needs compatible with their objects.
