## **Chairmans Report 2025**

Good afternoon and welcome to Parbold Community Association AGM

Over the last year we have seen bookings starting to pick up to the point where we do not have enough space to fit everyone in.

Our plans to develop a website are beginning to take shape and this will be up and running in the new year.

Digital banking has remained a “mill stone”around our neck however some progress is finally being made. Our treasurer and Secretary are now able to access the accounts online and hopefully by next week I should have access too.

Next challenge Contactless payments!!!

Our plans to improve the hall and create more space passed the pre planning stage but have been put on hold by the Parish Council. Over the year we have welcomed some new groups Love to Learn a childrens group Sewcial an informal sewing group

Our PCA sponsored groups i.e. the Picture House, Talking Pictures, Bridge, Coffee and Lunch clubs continue to thrive.

Our Sunday Markets came to a close after 30years. However the Sunday slot has been taken by a private group who will keep the markets alive ( sadly though no longer for good causes)

As always it’s our volunteers who give there time freely for the benefit of the hall and our community. Without them many groups could not continue so I would like to say a huge Thank you to them all.

I would also like to thank everyone on the committee for there commitment to keeping the hall a venue for local community.

Finally I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy and peaceful new year.

## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS' REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF PARBOLD COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION**

## **FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31ST AUGUST 2025**

We report on the financial statements which are set out hereto.

## **Respective Responsibilities of the Trustees**

As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. You consider that the audit requirements of Section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the Act) do not apply. It is our repsonsibility to state on the basis of procedures specified in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners under section 43(7)(b) of the Act, whether particular matters have come to our attention.

## **Basis of Independent Examiners' Report**

Our examination was carried out in accordance with General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosure in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently we do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.

## **Independent Examiners' Statement**

In our opinion, the financial statements give a true and fair view of the state of the Charity's affairs as at 31st August 2025 and of it's results for the period then ended.
