Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of Hartlepool Stage Society I report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31st May 2026. Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner The charty's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audtt is not required for this year (under section 43(2) of the Chartties Act 1993 (the 1993 Act)) and that an independent examlnatlon is needed. It Is my responsibility to: examine the accounts (under sectton 43(3)(a) of the 1993 Att); to f ollow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commi55ioners (under section 43(7)(b) of the 1993 Act); and to state whether particular matters have come to my attentlon. Basis of independent examiner"s report My examination was carried out in accordance wtth the General Directtons given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented w￿h those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual Items OF dlsclosures Ill the account5, and seeking explanations f rom you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audtt, and consequendy I do not express an audlt oplnion on the view given by the accounts.
