ANNUAL REPORT BY THE COUNTh TREASURER 2023 - 2024 I have pleasure in presenting my report as your Treasurer on the accounts for Cheshire Forest for the 12 months ending 31, August 2024. The accounts show another satisfactory year of guiding from a financial point of view. The revenue account for the County shows an increase of £30,624 a marked increase when compared with an increase of £23,226 in 2022123. This is due to an increase in income from Guiding membership, Fundraising and Donations, in conjunction with a similar increase in income and expenditure for the upkeep of Pettypool but balanced by a significant increase in services costs. These improvements mean we continue to return a surplus budget. The Pettypool Activities Centre shows an excess in expenditure over income of £73,438 compared with a significant increase income over expenditure of £10,246 in 2022123. This excess in expenditure is due to preparation for the next phase in development of the Pettypool Site and the continued increase in expenditure on services, security and maintenance as inflationary pressures are maintained. The site continues to be used efficiently by Guiding members and Forest Schools. The hard work of the team has, however, still been able to invest £1,085.00 in the site facilitie5, in particular the new Defibrillator. The Balance sheet shows a reduction in the total assets held by Girlguiding Cheshire Forest from £1,619,184 to £1,560,571. The accumulated fund is £1,558,689 due to a nett revenue decrease of £42,814. Creditors of £1,882 showing a significant reduction since last year's figures of £5,210. The fixed assets are shown at cost Inetted off by depreciation to date) and now total £1,311,160. Investments and current Assets have decreased from £265,103.00 in 2022123 to £249,411.00 in 2023124; these are held within the various accounts within the county as detailed. To comply with the Charities Commission a copy of the Annual report and Accounts will be lodged with them each year together with an annual return. As the County continues Guiding, we find the accounts once again indicate that Girlguiding Cheshire Forest is continuing to be run on a sound financial basis and I would like to express my thanks to the Treasures of the various activities whose work has contributed to the successful compilation of the accounts, which I have now presented. The trustees have referred to the information contained in the Charities Commissions, general guidance on public benefits when reviewing the aims and objectives and in planning future activities. The trustees believe that the activities carried out benefit the public by aiding the personal development and well being of girls, young women and adults through pursuit of the Association's Aims and Activities.
