The charity has elected an executive committee and trustees. There is regular general meeting for members to attend and monthly meetings of the executive committee. Elections are normally every 2 years. Next election will be in spring 2025 The charity also has membership of the joint partnership forum with the other four Sikh Temples in Manchester. Where we discuss best practice for the local Sikh community and collaboration on common matters. There is also regular Trustee meetings where matters relating Risk and the wellbeing of our congregation are considered, as well as general operational matters. With significant sharing of views and approaches to support the community. The Sunday school has been very successful, and has now been extended with a week day evening class. We are also now running Sunday classes for the Harmonium and Tabla. The Nagar Kirtan (Processions through Manchester) which include the other 4 Sikh Temples in Manchester was run again and was a great success. We had 35 different schools visit to the temple as part of the schools. curriculum on awareness of other faiths. We have also started to visit schools to carry out Sikh awareness classes. Without these donations much of the running and maintenance costs could not be achieved. These donations have been key in providing the much needed modernisation of the Temple and daily running costs. The committee are now considering priests from outside the UK. We are making an application for an overseas licence to allow us to recruit a priest from India with the necessary knowledge and skills.
