Minister’s Report
The first six months here have truly flown by, and it feels like Julie and I have been part of this wonderful community much longer! We are both settling in well and feel deeply blessed to be on this journey with you. As a church, we continue to grieve those we’ve recently lost, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to celebrate their lives. We will keep them in our hearts as we move forward together.
I’m excited about what lies ahead as we continue to settle in and get to know all that’s happening in the church. I’ve started new groups and social activities aimed at strengthening our connections with one another, and I’ve also been meeting with the local Church leaders, councillors and social prescribers to explore how we can better support the wider community together.
Visiting and getting to know as many of you as possible has been a priority for me, and I look forward to continuing those conversations. Please keep an eye out for upcoming events – there will be many opportunities to get involved and help!
If you’d like to meet or chat, my door is always open. Thank you for your ongoing warmth and support!
Blessings, Rev. David Skeet

Income from letting the Church premises to outside groups decreased by 15% last year because some groups finished, left or reduced their activities without other groups coming in to replace them.

The financial value of these groups in the year ended 30.06.24 was £1425
Haworth and District WI generously gave a donation to the Church at the end of their long relationship with us.
The Operatic Society has reduced its amount of usage of our premises in last year and this will reduce further in the current year.
The highest contributors to the Church’s income over the year were:
£501 to £1000 Haworth and Stanbury Village Council, Moorland Meditation, Rethinking Pain, Haworth Senior Citizens £1001 to £1500 Tai chi, Over 50s Fitness, Haworth Film Club
£1501 to £2000 Yoga with Liz
£2001 to £2500 Fit for Life, Operatic Society
£2501 to £3000 Slimming World
These 10 groups contributed 81.5% of the income from non-Church groups using the premises.
We have space in our Calendar for more groups to use our premises.
Sunday school report
We have been trying to run the Sunday school on the 1st Sunday of the month and have renamed it Kids Club.
We have 4 regular kids and 4 others that come now and then, unfortunately 2 regulars have left with a house move.
I have bought a few more resources to help plan a session.
We aim to come back up to the service to share what we have done. Sharon has agreed to come and teach some songs to them, Liz will do an art class with them, Debbie will do some drama so we will use the talents of others in church to make the kids clubs more engaging.
We would like to attract more families into church in the future.
