**Objects:** THE AIMS OF THE SOCIETY SHALL BE A) TO FURTHER THE STUDY OF BIRDS IN THE FIELD AND B) TO ASSIST IN THEIR PRESERVATION.

**Activities:** The aims of the society are to further the studies of birds in the field and assist in their preservation.Specific activities include:- co-operation with other bodies in the maintenance/management of local areas of ornithological/natural history importance- recording of bird life in the LOS area- publishing of ornithological material and that related to conservation, relevant to the area
