**Objects:** (I) TO STIMULATE PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT. (II) TO PROMOTE HIGH STANDARDS OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT. (III) TO SECURE THE PRESERVATION PROTECTION DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF FEATURES OF HISTORIC OR PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT. (FOR FURTHER DETAILS SEE CLAUSE 2 OF CONSTITUTION)

**Activities:** To keep a close watch on the condition and treatment of all buildings within the Conservation Area, Liaison with Planning Officers and Conservation Officer.To comment on all significant planning aplications in the remainder of the town.To maintain a Museum and Resource Centre.Encourage building owners/tenants to maintain buidlings in good conditionSupport tourism initiatives.
