In north and wesl Carmarthenshire. we provide floatiNJ support to a largety rural crynmunity who face a
sp8¢ifK set of challenges around connecbwty and acces5 to ststutory 5wvices.
In March 2020. we started providing $pè¢r8lisl sUp￿rt to people wi Pembrokeshirè tho ar8 leawng prison and
resetuing back into the commL￿1ty.
Outroach
The Access Point project ￿ Swansea the RcKrtes project in Neath-Port Talbot offer a range of swvices to
peopl¢ experiencing the thwt of homelessness or housing diffKults'es. AdvirE and assistance in 8reas such
as rent arrears. landlord notices seeking possession, p)or landlord relations, benefil adwce ar￿ appeals.
sourcing pemianent and temporary accommodation. health and addiction are all dealt wth by experience
support workers who manage a diverse casekiad of clients through this open access ser￿￿. The project is a
key partner of the local authority supporting them to distharge their duty of care to people in housing difficulty.
Short-temi transltlonal houslng (Paxton Street Hostel and our step4own community houstsl
The hostel offers 13 rooms for people V*tho experience acute homele5$ness and are unable to SCAJrce other
foms of temporary accommodation. The proiecl works direcily ￿th individuals lo address any barriers that
may prevent Ihem accessing pemian&nt accommodation. In 2020, we began wk¢tsng a new rapidvrehousing
model of support.
Chjr PIE (PS￿h01¢y￿1c81ly Informe¢J En￿rOnments> joumey is (KOgressin9 well trainiThJ and evaluation
framewofks in place for our supported housing k¥oiects. Th15 joumey has bgen enhanced by our Solution
Focussed Practice Service.
Long4wm transitional housing (ROADS. Willow Project and New Mlll)
ROADS supports tenants with harm reduction. stabilisat￿n and a sense of wellJeing. The 3 Small Schemes
that make up this project hous$ who have experien¢fjd homekssness and are experiencing ongoing
rnentsl andlor physical health drffi￿l￿.es due to bng tem) Substrn￿ misuse and dependency. The aim of the
project is lo support tenants lo extend their independence wthin the ¢ommunty and to prevent the worsening
of their health conditions by leaming appropriate coping strategies and enfxjuraging rn0￿ healthy choices. In
addition. Ihe support workers are there to advcrale for tenants whose health ha5 reached a stage of de¢line
whore additional support and more appropriate accommodation is required.
The Willow Project supports homeless people vhK> have a dragnosed rnental health condition aThJ who are
under the care of a Community Psychiatrrc Nurse ICPN}. Wilknw is now registered under the new RISCA
regulalion5 With CIW and supF*Nls residents regardiNJ their medicalK)n includirYJ prompbng and ObSe￿ati1)n.
New Mill is a step dovm supported service that accommcthtes people who live in the ccmmunity wth more

Communlty Integration (Connect)
Connect is an actiMties-based communty res￿￿ for people Imng long term mental health
issues. A key objects"v8 is to support members to mainlain and improve their wellbeiry and promote
social inclusion so that they are able to conb.nue wth independent h'ving and in doing so prevent or
redu￿ the need lor specialist mentsl health and stslulory services.
The project encourages members lo engage in social and NbEllbeing activities in the community through
tsilored programrne that indudes promoting and facilitating being in nature. exercise, crafts, healthy
eating. cullural wsits etc. A key feabjre of the project is the peer SLSPPOrt element. largely achwed
through weekly coffee and chal sessions, which are facilitated by a Connect stsff member. Whilst the
building has been closed due initially to Cowd 19 ar￿ subsequenvy due to the redevefopment of
the ground ffoor of Cu5tsns House. the project has been deKvered through using 8 variety of
community venues.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
During the year ended 31 March 2022. the organisation has continl￿d to build upon existing strength5.
Several key athi8vem8nts have been realised and lh8 organisabon has ￿ntinUed to strengthen.
Some of the key achievements are detailed here. though the list is not exhaustive.
Partn•rshlp wkth Linc Cymru
Transforming ￿Jr housing into frt-for-wrpose. a$￿T￿lie¢￿. mtyjem and sustainable accomm&Jation is a key
strategic objecb.ve for Goleudy. During the financial year ended 31 March 2022. significant work has been
undertaken lo establish a dev8k)ping partnership 7Mth Linc Cymru Housing Association with one of the
aims to expedite the a¢hievement of this goal. The work Linc is wde-ran9ing and r¢ is hcyed that the
partnership wll lead to improvements across mulliple facets of the organisation.
Solutlon Focussed ISF) Pract1￿ servke. and resear¢h progrnmme
Goleudy has been deve*rfng its Use of soluticffl foojssed praclice to irrfluence our support model and culture
Sin￿ 2011. To further this endeavour. Goleudy has worked in partnership wth a Community Interest
Company-'The Psychological rheraP￿ Unir (PTU}. since 2018. PTU are group of p5ychok>gists. based in
Liverpool city centre, who offef a range of therapies in the cornmunity. predominantly us1￿j solution fo¢u$
practice. They work a range of homelessness orgarwsations across the city regh)n. The PTUIGoloudy
partnership has several strands-
All front-line stsff in Goleuty receive training in solulion focus practice., this is provided by our CEO
and one of PTU'S psychologists. It is mOdel￿d on the Unrted Kingdom Associatson for Solution Focussed
Practice IUKASFPI'S natÈonal accreditatson r&Juirements and taik)red to meet the needs of support
TrKirkers operating in the housing fiehj.
During the height of the pandemic Gokudy introduced a le￿phOne service-'Lel's Keep Talking.,
provid8d by the PTU. This year. this serwce has continued to be used vndely affl¢)ngst our clients.
We are currenlly explofww how this $eNce will operate mosl effectivdy. folh)wng the Itlbng of
restridions.
The Managing Oirector of the PTU is an honorary researcher with Management School in Liverpool
University. Goleudy now has an establshe(I research partnership the faculty and OUT second
research project with them has rec£ntly been completed.

During 2021-22. Swansea Community Fridge has continued to buibj on tts success of redueing f¢)od waste and
tsckling fcKx1 povety by promding flesh. high quality. healthy food. on a.pay as you feel" basis. Our Comrnunity
Fridge played a key role in food provision to the people of Swansea thfoughcxrt the Covt&19 pandemic arKI
beyorKI. and distributed over 16 tOr￿￿S of f(M)d in 2021-22.
Food supply during the year suffered from turt￿lence, largety due to suppty chain issues. despite this, the
service was delivered every week, wthout fail, proving to be a lifeline for many. During the year. in additK)n lo its
weekly Wednesday servlce. the project underto)k pop-up events offsrte in drfferent communities. This was very
well received by the communib.es concemed. aThJ has hdped to extend the name & reputation. and reach arKI
impact of the Communty Fridge.
Data fiorn the annual Community Fridge customer survey conducted in December 2021 showed that the number
of ￿$tomerS who were not accessing a food bank was 82%. which was a sharp increase from 68% in the
previous survey in Oecember 2020. For these indivrduals. th8 Community Fridge was their only source of food
assistance.
The team were successful in securing signtfi¢ant grant fvnding during th8 pgriod from mumiplg different
granlslsources. Most notab￿ of which was from Welsh Govemment Food Povety Grant. Amongst other things.
llis paid for the ¢realiLNI of a trainiWcommunity krtd*n on the ground fioor of Customs House.
In addition. Ihe prcyecl had success in securing a 9Tant of £10.000 from the Nab"onal Lottetys Together for Ou
Planet fund, which Cl￿ncided with COP26, to run additional community event5 over the course of 2022. Thesè
are principalty aimed at local communitses vthich will be affectsd by dimale change and its impact on sea bevels.
The project further enhanced 115 environmentsl c￿entIalS during the period, not just by In¢￿asIng the amount
of food saved from lar￿[111. but also by introducing a Washab￿ ¢loth bag s¢hwne for ¢uslomers_ The re-u$abl8
bags are made by volunteers out of unwanted, pre-used fab￿. These are calkd 'morsbags' and are an
excellent example of how Ihrough Ihe power of vdurhteers, fabric Ihal would othtrrwise end up in kn¢Jfill is r8-
purpose(l into washable bags that the Community Fr* uses weekly to pack l(xyJ parcels.
IMPACT OF COVIO-19
The past 24 months have been the most challetYJirKJ operating enwonment in memory. The pandemic has
significantly impacted on the way in which Goleudy operates its Servi￿S_ virtual￿ all operational and corporate
processes have been Considered. rev￿ed arKI in many cases. altered lo tske into account the virus, our risk
environment and the publ￿ health and regulatory requirements around it.
Nevertheless, virtualty all of GoleUd￿S serwces ￿ntirtued lo operale IhrouglKJJt the pandemic. In suth a ￿$19 it
is often our clieftts that are hardest hit and il ha5 therefore been wtal thal our services contsnued to support their
needs.
Goleudvs organisational resilience, bolh operationally and financialty, ha5 been tested during this period and has
proven strong. We have grown during this lime of crisis. developirMJ new and innovative methods of delNeTing
our $eMces. We have worked. l)oth as 8 stsn¢>ah)ne org8nisatTron al￿ in partnership with other agencies. lo
launch new projects during this time and are eontsnuing to strive for gr￿h. We have launched a ngw business
plan and identity during the pandemic and are excited about how our organisation can continue to deliver high-
qualty seNices tr) th8 people we are constitutod to suprK)rt.
Achieving our key obj8ctive$ is now more Cfilic81 than ever. The new business plan recognises this. Th)ugh
much of the operational framework around how we delrver $eNices has changed, our ethos. values and goals
remain our primary focus.

unreslricled reserves. while restricted reserves have mC￿aSed by £44.145.
The surplus achieved in 2020-21 was £209.751. £156,356 added to unrestricted reserves. During that year
restricted reserves in¢r¢a$ed by £53.395.

Despite som& significant cha118nges. the charity ended the fnancial spar in a relativety strong financ￿1 w)srfion.
The group generated an overall surplus equivalent to 10.6% of tolal income in 2021.22 (the equivalent figure in
2021>21 was 6.8%). Overall incc*ne decreased by 7.7% during the year. while overall costs decreased by 12.21AI .
Principal Fundlng Sourc•s
The principal fvnding sources ol the charity incKJde ¢￿traCt income from the supports.ng People programme I
Housing Support Grant fvnding and rentsl income from our owned properties. These Iw funding SoUr￿S

Golng Coneern
The charity has sufficient fre8 reserves and is monitoring re$utts cffl a frequenl basis. The swplus generated in the
year end9d 31 March 2022 has strengthened Ihe balance sheet and cash balances remain strong. The trustees are
of Ihg Vtew that. on this basis. the charity is a ￿￿9 cOr￿M and there are no material uncertainlie5 about the
charitys ability to continue as a g￿ng concem.
Investments Policy
Post year end. Goleudy invested add￿onal lund5 vth 8rewn Dolphin vthh the aim of producing the best possibl¢
relum within on acceptab￿ level of risk. The investment was made in accordance with the organisation's Trèasury
antl Investmgnl Policy. which requires ¢onsKtteration of elh￿al issues pr*)r to any investrnenl.
Thè organisatton's appetite to risk is d￿uMented in the p)licy and is considered for each investrnent. The current
principal risks around the porrfolio relate to the loss of capital value and fund V0￿￿.11ty. Goleudy aims to mitigate this
risk by taking a long term investmenl view. and hokling a balanced and diversrfied pjrtfdio.
