AUDITOR’S REPORT

Can I thank Andrew Williams for his assistance again this year and hopefully he will agree to continue.

We have examined the accounts and records of the Choir together with the information and the explanations given. We can confirm that they are in accordance herewith.

We had a very good audit with a very well-kept set of computerised accounts, prepared by our Treasurer. He is more than ably assisted by his Deputy Treasurer.

Our balance sheet shows that we have no outstanding debtors and no external creditors

Our profit and loss account show a profit of £13,132 for the current year. The accumulated fund stands at £87,426 and shows an increase on the 2022 figure, due to tour deposits. A remarkable effort in difficult circumstances.

The Choir also supported the Ireland tour and thank Merthyr Motor Auctions for their continued support.

The Bonus Ball is performing well unfortunately the 200 Club is stagnant Please support these initiatives.

We have maximised the use of internet banking, thus reducing unnecessary costs of paper transactions and correspondence and reducing the workload of the financial teams.

Our thanks to all choristers involved in the financial issues of the Choir. We are satisfied that the Choir’s finances are in very safe hands and funds are spent wisely with the long-term future of the Choir paramount in any decision making.

Our thanks to the Treasurer and his Assistant for their time allocated, to answer account queries and to the Choir for their contribution and attentiveness.

C Marshallsea (Choir Auditor)
