**Objects:** 1. TO STIMULATE PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT. 2. TO PROMOTE HIGH STANDARDS OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT. 3. TO SECURE THE PRESERVATION PROTECTION DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF FEATURES OF HISTORIC OR PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.

**Activities:** The  Haywood Society arranges monthly talks for members with two visits a year to places of local interest.  It supports suitable local activities with start up grants.  It has published three local history book, no4 in 2014.  It tries to study all local planning applications.  It assisted in discussions of local interest and the production of "The Village Building Guidelines".
