- The minutes from the previous meeting were approved.
Treasurer’s Report

The differences are due to Covid grants; free membership; camp expenditure; badge expenditure; utilities costs rising.

Thanks to George for the independent review and to Aston & Chris for their assistance with expenses payments.

The outdoor canopy has been completed, including the floor and the benches with support from HSBC.

The indoor climbing wall has been completed and the leaders trained in safe use.

Scouting Report
-
All groups are now back to face-to-face scouting, the older sections returned earlier, they all started with distanced activities.
-
12 new Monday Beavers started in November and Beth became a new Friday Beaver Leader.
-
Cubs have had new starters.
-
Scouts had a boxing night, went camping, hiking and had a bin bag fashion show.

- Over the next 12 months we need a push on leader training and attempt to reduce the waiting list.
Election of Officers and Committee

Andy Morgan (Chair), Carl Miller (Treasurer) and Anne Tallentire (Secretary) were proposed by Mick and seconded by Myra to continue in their current roles.

Doug Shorter, Carol Cottrell, Aston Watkins, Sandra Parker, Barnaby Scarfe, Helen Cross were proposed by Bob and seconded by Ian to continue in their positions on the committee.
Any Other Business

Nigel expressed thanks to all in the group on behalf of himself and Sam. He is pleased to hear that our facilities are available to others within the district. Thanks to all parents and committee and leaders that make our group a success.

Bob – who do families approach to request financial support? Carl or Chris can always be approached in confidence. We can help with camp costs as well as membership fees and other support.

Tom – congratulations to Chris and Gary for member merits, the group are very proud.
