Oblectlves:
The Trust is an end(Med d￿rity funds are invested in a(￿rdan￿ wrlh the Tmstees
Act 2000. The income from the investments is distributed in accordance with the Trust Deed
dated 11 March 1974 for charitable purposes induding, inter alia, the advanCerr￿nt of
education, medi¢21 xience and provision of medi121 equipment and faalities and the provision
and improvement of public amenities.
The distribution area is defir￿ in the Trust Deed to be wincjpally the Okl Borough of Dar¥Yen.
The Trust has over a number of years ￿pted funds from charities that operated in the same
prinapal area that have ceased to futfil their obiedj'ves.
The charities that have donated their funds are the Peter Pan Trust, Darwen Sick Poor & War
Memorial Fund. Darw8n Disatded Fund. Hillside Garage Trust, John Frederick Le￿h Trust
and the Hilda Clarke MenN)rial FufKI

The Tntst also administers the followirKJ:
1) The T. P. Davies Fund. This was &c£pted by the Uoyd Trustees subject to its own
Charitable Trust Rules as set in a sdpme approved by the Chan￿ry of Lancaster
Court on the 23rd of Marth 1967. This limiis the income for the benefit and welfare of
Residents of the Borough of DaTh￿n as set out in the Order. This is binding on the
Trustees,.
2) Darwen Probation Volunteers Fund. New Trusts have been agreed Wbth the Chaiity
Commissionets rnainly for the benefft of persons of Dar￿rt who have come under the
Probation and after Care ser¥1￿ and their families.

Investments and Income:
The major investments of the Trust are with the COIF ln￿StMerrt Funds whith spreads th8
risk and they maintained a gotsj level of income and ￿￿tal gr0￿h.

Oryanlsatlon:
The Trust acceFrts applI￿lonS submitted on the application fonrts that are available on its web
page ' thelloydtrust.co.uk" and also by letter and email.
The ap￿icatIonS are circulated to the Trustees and Committee for ￿nsideratIon and
de¢ision is then M￿le by the Trustees as to whether a grant should be made. The Tnjstees
occasionally require an intemew with the apFlicant to darify the requesi for help.
Accounts:
W.M. & B.W. Lloyd Charlty Trust
The Aox>unts are prepared on a receipts and payments basis. During the year to 5th April
2026 the incoFrE of the Trust amounted lo £151.501 12025 £138.655). Grants of £164,697
(2025 :£167.075) were made during the year. Grants retumed dunng the year were £0 (2025:
£150)
The TNStees retain approximately one yearfs inconx to o)ver emergencies arKI ongoing
grants. The Income Account h•J a balan￿ of £111.623 (2025: £126,565) at the year end
and had ongoing grant liabilities of £30,000 (2025." £31,500).
T. P. Oavles Fund
The Trustees reCeI￿d income of £2.211 {2025'. £2.146) and m* grants of £500 during the
year (2025.. £5,750). A balance of £2,948 (2025.. £1.237) remained available for distribution.
The TNstees have invested £20,000 of incoffE accumulated by the fund's previous Trustees
which is available for distribution.
.Darwen Probatlon Voluntsers:
The Trustees received In￿Me of £2.388 (2025.. £2,319) and made grants during the year of
£8.000 (2025.. £2,500). A balance of £1,623 {2025: £7.234) remains available for distribution
Hllda Clarko Memorlal Fund
It was deoded in the currenf year to am*amate the funds in this section with the main fund
for ease of ￿lunting.
