Para 1.17 and 1.19 ln setting out priorities for the year, we
kept in mind the Charities Commission
Guidance on public benefit at our trustee
meetings.
Highlight of the year was the Kings
Coronation Party which was well
attended. This year we introduced Bell
Shooting which has proved very popular.
Other traditional events organised over
the year to bring people together
included the Christmas Party, Christmas
Dinner, New Years Party, Harvest
Festival and Race Nights as well as
quarterly fayres and our traditional
yearly Fete. Other regular events include
film nights, bingo and quiz nights. We
use funds to subsidise events enabling
us to put on free events. The Hall
continues to be hired for activities
including taekwondo, a craft club, men’s
wellbeing sessions and it acts as a Well
Being Walk hub.
These activities help people keep in
touch throughout the isolated villages
and homes.

Para 1.18 We welcome all ages without distinction
of sex, political or religious opinions or
personal circumstances. In
providing a safe environment a risk

undertaken as required, there is a Code

policy in place.

Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 Our small village hall helps to keep
people connected through tireless
organising and hosting a wide array of
events, catering to all age groups.
Price increases throughout the year
were largely contained keeping prices
more affordable to people on limited
incomes. We are constantly looking to
enhance our offerings, improve the
facilities, and foster a stronger, more
connected community. By taking these
steps, we aim to increase engagement,
better utilise the hall's resources, and in
doing so, have a lasting positive impact
on the community.
