THE SUPPORT OF THOSE SUFFERING FROM CHEMICAL OR BEHAVIOURAL ADDICTIONS, OR OTHERWISE IN NEED OF HELP;3. THE RELIEF OF DISTRESS OR SUFFERING ARISING FROM CHEMICAL OR BEHAVIOURAL ADDICTIONS TO RESTORE PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL WELLBEING; AND 4. THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY IN THE DIOCESE OF HEREFORD BY PROVIDING GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY.

**Activities:** Social Aid supports charitable activities carried out in connexion with the Church of England in the Diocese of Hereford, particularly: the promotion of temperance and higher standards of moral life in individuals, family and community; the restoration of the intemperate or delinquent and those addicted to drugs, alcohol or gambling or otherwise needing help; the relief of the consequent distress.
