Activities
The club's principle activity is the promotion of a series of 12 concerts of classical music put on from October to March annually. These usually consist of solo musicians or small groups of up to 6 or so players. Some seasons include concerts given by a small orchestra of up to 18 players. The Club has regular concerts promoting Young Musicians from the area.
Objects: To Foster And Promote The Education Of The General Public In The Appreciation Of Music In All Its Aspects And To Co-Operate With Local Authorities, Educational Iunstitutions And Cultural Societies Relating To The Practice, Presentation And Study Of Music In Order To Promote Better And More Widespread Performances Of Instrumental Work, Choral Work, Ballet And Opera.
